Sanford Health Plan opened a new office here Monday to handle expanding operations including a new contract covering thousands of North Dakota public employees, family members and retirees.
The opening comes just days before the Sanford Health Plan will be providing health insurance on Wednesday for 65,000 lives covered under the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System, commonly called NDPERS.
The new offices—the Sanford plan’s first in North Dakota—are in the former Echelon building at 1749 38th St. S. near the junction of Interstates 29 and 94.
Sanford Health Plan expects to hire about 100 new employees in Fargo and Bismarck to handle its growing membership, which now totals 174,000 throughout its service area.
